BIRDS, FISH, INSECTS

This series was inspired by historic scientific catalogue books. The Hawaiian islands are extremely unique in that their geographic isolation results in numerous species of birds, insects, fish and plants found nowhere else on earth. Unaccustomed to mainland competition these remote ecosystems are in constant flux and battling for their existence. I’m interested in the fleeting nature of physical forms. How a species miraculously comes into being and then, eventually disappears.
